Our editorial filter
Every link must pass a simple test before we share it:
Would we bookmark this, save it, or send it to a friend who takes Substack seriously?
If the answer is no, it does not get published.
We also follow a few strict rules:
Every link must be useful today, not someday
Every link must be actionable, not theoretical
Every link must save time, make money, or prevent a mistake
No beginner advice repackaged for the hundredth time
No generic creator advice unless it clearly applies to Substack
If a link does not pass at least one of these filters, it does not make the cut.

Smarter Substack is curated by Philip Hofmacher, Sinem Günel, and Jari Roomer.
Together, we run Write • Build • Scale, a Substack publication with over 30,000 subscribers and 1,000+ paying members.
We spend our days testing ideas, studying what works, and ignoring what doesn’t. That means reading constantly, experimenting relentlessly, and filtering hard.
